 1. Walt Disney owned the rights to the technicolor film process from about 1932 to 1935. However, no studio was allowed to release any technicolor films until 1936.

2. Discovery Island, located in Walt Disney World, was open from 1974 until 1999 when it was closed and subsequently abandoned. Rumors suggest that Discovery Island was shut down after a park guest who had been swimming at the park was killed by a brain-eating amoebae.

3. Disney custodial staff are trained to use HEPA vacuums to clean up scattered ashes of departed park guests.

4. In Disneyland, you can still find the old remnants of the SkyWay ride chalet that connected guests from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland. More interestingly, you'll find a painting of the zodiac on the side of the building as well as in Sleeping Beauty Castle and the clock tower located in Fantasyland.

5.  During WWII, Disney made films for every branch of the US military in an effort to increase support for the war. He also made films for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and U.S. Treasury.

6. Walt Disney was once a member of the Motion Picture Alliance for the Preservation of American Ideals. One thing was clear, no communists allowed.

7. There is a Donald Duck cartoon where Donald is portrayed as a Nazi factory worker. The cartoon was created in 1943 as anti-Nazi propaganda.

8. In Disneyland, Main Street USA was designed to represent the year 1910 and Tomorrowland the year 1986 because those two years were the years that Halley's Comet visited the Earth.

9. The Disney World Resort is the same size as San Fransisco.

10. Disney employees must always keep a smile.
